Complete the following procedures when upgrading the servers that are part of a server cluster.
Upgrading a server cluster
- Verify that there are no messages in the In Process queue. If there are, you must cancel the messages using the instructions in Canceling messages in the In Process Queue. You can resend the messages after the upgrade is complete.
- Shutdown the secondary server of the cluster.
- Upgrade the primary server using instructions in Upgrading the Server.
- Shutdown the primary server.
- Start the secondary server of the cluster.
- Upgrade the secondary servers of the cluster using instructions in Upgrading the Server.
- Start the primary server.
Using AccuRoute Connector for Lotus Notes in a cluster
If you are using the Lotus Notes connector in a cluster environment, all communication between the Lotus Notes server and the server is directed through the SMTP connector.
